Sport Events Exchange

2010 Sport Events Exchange - Thursday, April 22, 2010

This business-to-business marketplace which takes place during CSTA's annual conference, provides an opportunity for events rights holders (sellers) and municipalities (buyers) to meet one-on-one to explore sport events hosting opportunities.  Participants are assigned brief appointments to conduct a short business meeting.

Note that in order to participate in the Sport Events Exchange portion of the Congress, both buyers and sellers MUST be CSTA members.  If you plan to participate in Sport Events Exchange, please submit your membership application to CSTA or renew your membership prior to registering for the Congress. To check your membership status or to become a CSTA member, contact info@canadiansporttourism.com.   For information on complimentary participation in Sport Events Exchange for events rights holders (Go Congress! program), click here.

Information for Buyers (Municipalities/Suppliers)

  • Each company/organization/hotel chain is allowed only one set of appointments.  If your company is sending more than one delegate and you all wish to participate in the Exchange, you must participate together.
  • Appointment scheduling will take place via email between April 1st and 8th, 2010.  Selections are done on-line.

Information for Sellers (Events Rights Holders)

  • Each sport organization will be assigned one set of appointments and two people per sport organization may sit together at the same table.  We can accommodate two sets of appointments for sport organizations who wish to occupy two separate tables and double-up on appointments.  Please advise if you would like to have two tables.
  • Each sport organization will be required to supply event information to CSTA in advance of the marketplace.  Details and requirements will be communicated via email at the end of March.
  • All registered events rights holders/sport organizations are strongly encouraged to attend the full 3-day Congress, such as workshops, presentations and networking activities.

Delegates who are eligible to participate in the 2010 Sport Events Exchange will receive more details regarding the marketplace appointment schedule and how to prepare for the appointments via email in early April.  For questions or inquiries about Sport Events Exchange, please contact Denisa Horak at dhorak@canadiansporttourism.com or 613-322-4035.
